Finally, I have returned to my blog with some new things to share.  I have updated my website with new photos.   I have some pictures from Canada - http://68.254.2.75/emd710/canada/canada.htm,  CP Rail steam engine 2816 - http://www.trainweb.org/clevelandtrains/cp2816/cp2816.htm and some from the Ohio Central - http://68.254.2.75/emd710/oc/ocindex.htm

This weekend, I will be attending Trainfest 2004 at Dennison, Ohio.  I am very excited to have the pleasure to see steam locomotives working under their own power!  I will have plenty of pics to share after this weekend.

Thats all for now.

It has been some time since I have updated my webpage and blog. There are just so many things to do in a given day. I am currently working on my MBA and working full time. So something’s had to take a back seat for a little while. But don’t worry. I am going to come back, this time with some better, clearer ideals. I have some things that are right now in the planning stages, like overhauling my website and trying to get into the rail business. The price of dsl has made it so cheap now, where I can get a line that has 3 megabits and down for as little as 60 bucks a month. Not bad. I would like to put together a nice site to display all of my photos. Currently, I have over 3000. And that number is about to grow more once I pick up one of them new digital Rebels.

As far as getting into getting the rail business, I am exploring this op. It is one thing to take pictures of them all day. So why not get into the game and make money off it? I am looking deep into this field now. I will let you know what I find soon. If you have any ideals or suggestions about getting into the field, email me at natef40amtrak@yahoo.com

EMD, return to the top?

Check out this months issue of Trains magizine (February 2004). The new SD70MACe is here. Will this be the locomotive that puts EMD back on top? Will this one design change the locomoitve industry? I am not sure of all the hype. Alot of roads seem to love GE locomotives right now. BNSF and NS seem to like the GE products they are recieving. CSX and UP have given EMD some life that will keep them around longer for a little longer. Only time will tell if this one locomotive will change the way locomotives are designed.

“You know an EMD is broken if it is smoking”. Unknown

On Friday, November 21, 2003, I had a chance to get a quick glimpse of a pair of NS SD80MAC from my office window at work. What a site even though I was maybe half a mile away. From a distance, you could see a trail of evidence being omitted from the lead SD80MAC. At first, I thought that it was a GE leading since I could not hear the engines very clearly. But once it was able to clear all the building obstructing my view, I was very surprised to see a pair of NS SD80MAC’s tugging a long ore train on the Cleveland line. I wonder where the pair is heading to. It is not that often that you see a pair of NS SD80MAC’s in Cleveland. If you have the answer to this question, email me.

I am going to work really hard to update my weblog with at least 2 new post this week. So stayed tuned.

It has been awhile since I have made an entry here. So much is going on and like always, there is not enough time in the day to cram everything in it. I have a couple of things in mind that I would like to do with this website. There first one is to perform a complete overhaul. The new site would be transformed into a very interactive one. I am still thinking about how I am going to go about this. Should I use PHP or go with Microsoft's .Net programming suite? I am going to have to look at both very well and make a decision.

Other than that, I have a few "editorials" that I am going to post if anybody would like to hear my two cents. One is about the colorful constist that railroad's run and I can not remember right now what the other one was. When it comes back to me, I will update my weblog.
