I have finally updated my website within the Photos of the week section. I have no clue why I call it Photos of the week when I only update it about every 2 months. I am working on some software that will allow me to upload photos and post them within a matter of seconds.

Today Motive Power, Tomorrow Classics

As I read articles in train magazines and threads on discussion list about today motive power, I can only think that we should enjoy it while they are still here. They will not be in Class one service much longer. Shortlines and Regional roads will always run the power that once ran on the big boy lines, but it will only get harder to find them. You will have to drive a thousand miles to the middle of no where. Once there, you will wait for hours and maybe days for a train that might only a couple of times a week.

I truly miss seeing F40’s in everyday service on Amtrak. Over the years now, I have got used to the newer GE’s. The GE is a different beast. It has taken some time to get used to seeing them pull passenger trains. Make no mistake or start any rumors, they are here to stay for the long haul. That is why I am taking plenty of pictures of them now. Soon, they will be history like the F40’s too.

So fill up them flash cards on your digital camera! Snap them pictures while you can. Don’t let these moments get away from you.

Welcome back.

It has been a few months since I have made a journal entry. This time I bring no excuses to the table. I am not taking any classes or working over at the job, just plain old laziness.

I have not been out like I would like to do weekend events here and there. The lack of updates on the website explains things.

I did attend Trainfest 2004 in Dennison, Ohio. What a ball I had. There will be another Trainfest in 2006 and I will be there. Check out the photos at : http://68.254.2.75/emd710/trainfest/trainfest.htm

It is about that time of year and I am seriously thinking about heading out to do some fall shots. Never been to Sandpatch to catch the majic. Maybe I will head that way.....

This weekend, I will be attending Trainfest 2004 at Dennison, Ohio.  I am very excited to have the pleasure to see steam locomotives working under their own power!  I will have plenty of pics to share after this weekend.

It has been some time since I have updated my webpage and blog. There are just so many things to do in a given day. I am currently working on my MBA and working full time. So something’s had to take a back seat for a little while. But don’t worry. I am going to come back, this time with some better, clearer ideals. I have some things that are right now in the planning stages, like overhauling my website and trying to get into the rail business. The price of dsl has made it so cheap now, where I can get a line that has 3 megabits and down for as little as 60 bucks a month. Not bad. I would like to put together a nice site to display all of my photos. Currently, I have over 3000. And that number is about to grow more once I pick up one of them new digital Rebels.

As far as getting into getting the rail business, I am exploring this op. It is one thing to take pictures of them all day. So why not get into the game and make money off it?
